We help you maintain your garden, visiting regularly through each season. The emphasis is on reliable expertise, delivered through regular visits in patterns that suit your garden, establishing a familiarity with how it works.
We work on all styles and sizes of garden, from terraces and urban courtyards to those of substantial country houses, plus everything in between. I’m Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Level 2 trained at Liverpool University’s Ness Botanical Gardens campus, so I emphasise horticultural best practice. We typically visit you for between 2-4 hours every fortnight, depending on the size, state and complexity of the garden.
Typical tasks include cutting back climbing plants, digging over and mulching borders, managing shrubs and perennials, improving plant health, hedge-trimming, weeding, pruning and mowing lawns. We undertake tree work up to certain limits, above which we recommend other specialist crews.
Once we’re on top of your garden, we can provide design and landscaping support. We can improve the way your garden spaces work for you, create planting schemes, source or propagate plants.
I manage my teams to follow RHS best practice. I have a Masters in Design Studies from Central St Martins College of Art and a bachelors degree from Aston Business School. Before retraining into horticulture from 2020, I worked as an international communications specialist engaged with the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
I invoice clients the morning after we’ve been on site, and almost all clients pay by bank transfer. Our hourly rate for ongoing work is £25-£35 an hour depending on the brief.
